Project Manager Steve C educated the homeowner on the importance the downspout in that it’s job is to redirects the water away from your foundation by taking the water that it collects within your gutters and pushing it through the vertical tube that runs alongside the home. Your downspouts are often found at the corners of your home where gutters meet. However, downspouts can be at any point that is low. Steve recommended that step 1 was getting all the rain water away from the foundation. Steve than drew up a drainage plan to move all the water from the rain gutters below ground into a 4 inch PVC pipe that would discharge the water 100 ft to the rare of the home ...

This wasn’t the first time we’ve been called to fix the work of another company; it wasn’t even the first time this month. This was one of the worst systems we’ve pulled out, though; at a few places in the basement water was coming up where the old & new concrete meet . Once the extent of the problem was discovered, we scheduled our waterproofing and foundation crews to work in tandem and get the job done as efficiently as possible. The first step was to open back up the floor and move the waterproofing system off the footer to infront the foundation footer to provide proper pitch .. We installed a full perimeter of GrateDrain , our below-floor drainage system. The GrateDrain sits below the footer which allows it to collect incoming water and move it fast to the GrateSump... Now the homeowners has a high efficient waterproofing drain system ..
