The New Jersey homeowners contacted us with a minor waterproofing job. Little did they know, they were dealing with mold and mildew growing behind their finish walls turning a simple job into one that required our expertise to fix it ..

What challenges did we face?

The family was concerned about dust and mold particles in the air, coming up into their living space during the time the work was being done. So we took necessary precautions and put plastic up on the stairs to the ground level.

Solutions provided:

Project manager Tim S went out to meet with the New Jersey homeowners to do a full basement inspection .. Tim provided the homeowners with a healthy basement level 1 a full perimeter ( closed ) Grate Drain drainage system moisture vapor to protect against wall leakage . Victor and his team moved any objects blocking the perimeter of all 4 sides of the wall to the middle of the basement and covered them with plastic to ensure maximum protection. Than set up negative air for dust control, Then the perimeter of the walls is excavated in order to install the GrateDrain ( closed ) drainage system . Once dug up, the WaterGuard system is placed and the space is filled back up with gravel, then concrete is placed back on top to seal it back up 100% Next, the GrateSump pumps needs to be installed in the low spot of the basement . Once the GrateSump Sump Pump is installed, a discharge line needs to be determined and then placed. A discharge line is where the water is channeled out of the basement, passing through the freeze stop , then is released through the catch basin ..
