Why did the customer contact us?
When the property owners contacted us their tenants noticed signs of mold at the floor wall joint in the basement
What challenges did we face?
The challenges we faced were gutting all the exterior walls of the basement to access the foundation walls to apply the moisture vapor barrier.
Solutions provided:
Project Manager Steven Custus evaluated the basement and suggested a (Closed) perimeter drainage system as well as a moisture vapor barrier on the walls.
Dwight C and his crew installed the GrateDrain around the interior perimeter of the basement to collect ground water and channel it to the existing Sump pump. Steve also recommended installing an egress window drain to protect the egress window from over flowing with water.
Now the property homeowners can refinish the basement and start renting it out.
