The Merion Station homeowners contacted us because they were struggling to bring down high levels of humidity in their home . So that’s when they called the professional at Jamison Basement Waterproofing.

Senior Project Manager Ed Went out to sit down with the clients to hear about all their concerns with their basement. Ed recommend the homeowners reduce the relative humidity in the basement by bring it down below 50% this would make the basement more comfortable and preventing mold growth at the same time .

Ed explain how important it is to choose the right size dehumidifier , because of the size of the basement Ed recommended the compact model dehumidifier that covers up to 1700sq . We also closed up the open Sump pit that was humidifing the air with tons of moisture. Last but not least we replaced all the old leaky windows in the basement , because it’s key when trying to condition the air in the basement you keep all outside air out of the space.
