The new Villanova Homeowners called us out after starting renovations on their new home and their general contractor found signs of ground water seepage in the basement. With plans of having a really nice finished basement these homeowners didn't want to take any chance of having a flooded basement later down the line .
The challenge that we faced was having to start this job almost immediately because the Basement waterproofing issues were holding up the new home renovations. Our project manager and production manager got together and were able to have a full crew ready to go with in 24hrs.
Steve Custus designed a full closed perimeter Drainage system (Grate-Drain ) with inspection ports strategically placed throughout the system for easy access and inspection. We also installed 2 Grate Sumps with 1/3hp fast sumps that can remove 2400 gallons of water per hour. Additionally, full thermal shield sealed Vapor Barrier on the walls to prevent any future wall leaks or dampness from ever getting onto the basement floor and a high volume, high efficient dehumidifier that can remove up to 90pints of moisture a day from the basement air making this a healthy environment for many years to come.
