Why did the customer contact us?
Rossi construction was contacted by the homeowners because they wanted to add more living space to their home and what better way than a finish basement but first they would need a exit out of the basement to have their finish basement up to code . So that's when they gave us a call at Jamison Basement Waterproofing ....
What challenges did we face?
The challenges that we faced were that this was a solid poured concrete foundation so it was a little tougher to cut the window opening than our typical block foundations ....
Solutions provided:
Because the international residential code of 2006 states that Basements and every sleeping room shall have at least one emergency exit and rescue opening , so we recommended a code compliant egress window be installed before the start of the finishing of the basement .
